Let's talk about self care!
I am and always was into fragrances, I smell everything !
Since I was a child, I was attracted to perfumes and fragrances. Some of my best memories are coming back when I smell fresh pastry and pine treesm .I like fragrances and perfumes and this is one of the reasons I decided to add all those great essential oils to my body creams and scrubs, of course there are lots of other benefits of essential oil that I am discovering during my research.... I have a variety of those in my prodycts: Lavender ,Sweet orange ,Ylang Ylang, Patchouli ,Mint , Bergamot Sandalwood and Frankincense for now and am planning to add more in the near future. .Also I realized since I started my business that people are extremely different when it's coming to fragrances ,that;s why I prefer to do custom make products based on personal preferences. Some people really don't like fragrances at all ,they prefer scent less products and I respect that. .I am trying to adjust accordingly and make my customers as happy as I can .
I am using a mix of oils and butters in my products,I like this mix because of the qualities of the oils and butters and the benefits that we are getting from all of them in the right proportion.
It's interesting for me to see how different perfumes are smelling different on different people ,that's why when I am going to buy a perfume I am spraying it directly on my skin and sometimes I see some ironical looks from people that are happening to be there. They' don't get it or they don't know it but as I was saying we are different and the ph of our skin is different and makes those fragrances to smell different ,even intensity can vary and also time that that particular essence will stay on our skin .
Why coconut oil?(Cocos Nucifera)
can be used up to 100% in body products or included in carrier oil blends 30-50%
What is science saying: Coconut oil is a highly saturated oil that is traditionally made by extracting the oil from raw coconuts or dried coconut kernels .
At room temperature it's solid, but when heated it can soften or even melt.
It's frequently used in cooking or applied directly to the skin and hair.
Coconut oil is rich in medium-chain fatty acids, which are a form of saturated fat. In fact, these medium-chain fatty acids make up about 65% of its total composition
The fatty acids found in coconut oil include
Lauric acid: 49%
Myristic acid: 18%
Caprylic acid: 8%
Palmitic acid: 8%
Capric acid: 7%
Oleic acid: 6%
Linoleic acid: 2%
Stearic acid: 2%
Although coconut oil is about 90% saturated fat, it does contain small amounts of mono and polyunsaturated fats as well. One tablespoon contains about 12 grams of saturated fat and 1 gram of unsaturated fats
The medium-chain fatty acids in coconut oil have antimicrobial properties that can help protect against harmful microorganism.
